Nahargarh fort was built by Swai raja jai Singh in the year 1732.The Nahargarh fort served as a military sentinel that guarded the royal kingdom of the royal kingdom of amber. The term Nahargarh literally means’ abode of tiger’.Nahargarh fort has an interesting history attached to its name. It is said that fort was haunted by a spirit of a prince called’NAHAR’.Eventually, a ‘tantrik’ prayed to the spirit of the prince who agreed to leave the place only on the condition that the fort was named after him.The prime attraction of the Nahargarh fort is the MADHVENDRA BHAWAN.The rooms are linked with each other by the means of corridor and have beautiful forcoes inside.This fort is the most loved picnic spot today.Durg cafeteria is located just above the main entrance for providing refreshment to the tourists.the padao restaurant is open only in the evening and sells drinks to its customers.
