type='html'>Shekhawati means Garden of Shekha and is not a single village or town. It is a large area in north eastern. Rajasthan which lies between Bikaner, Jaipur and Jhunjhunu Districts.
Shekhawati today is known more for its exquisite frescoes that adorn the walls and ceiling of the building here. It is an open air art gallery. No other region , anywhere in the world, has such a large concentration of frescoes. This is all the more interesting as the landscape here is totally bate-flat and colourless.
Until the 1820s, most of the frescoes were financed by Rajputs and the themes were largely religious, folk heroes, historical events and personages were recorded in great detail, as were battle scenes. In fact, these paintings are more of historical records depicting the events that took place at that period. The arrival of the phirangi, or foreigner, is noted as is his style of dressing, his mode of transport and his modern weapons.
<img width='1' height='1' This fort is famous for its massive structure. This fort also has many gateways like Padal pol, bhairon fort, hanuman pol and rams pol. This fort is an impressive reminder of Rajput heroism. The Chittorgarh fort is the living testimony of the great Rajput rulers who led down there life fighting their superior enemies instead of leading a life of submission. The fort of Chittor is believed to have been the capital of Gahlot and Sesodia kings who ruled Mewar from the eighth to the sixteen century AD. The history of this fort is written in blood and sacrifice. Muslim rulers sacked it three times in medieval period. Out of the three major sieges, the first occurred in AD 1303 when al-ud-din khilji of Delhi attacked to gain the possession of maharani Padmini, the beautiful wife of Rana Ratan Singh. The goal remained unachievable since Padmini along with the other Rajput women committed self-immolation or jauhar.

The second one was by Sultan Bahadur shah of Gujarat in AD 1535 and the jauhar was once again performed and the third siege in AD 1567 was by mughal ruler Akbar. This was a bloody war with the Jauhar being performed for the third time.

Junagarh fort, Bikaner

Imposing and enchanting, the Junagarh fort in Bikaner overwhelms with its historic charm and monumental splendor. This fort was built in 5th century by one of the most able and trusted generals of Akbar, Raja Rai Singh. The 986 meter stone wall that encloses the magnificent Junagarh Fort has 37 bastions that give it a formidable yet impressive character. The deep moat that encircles the fort made it impossible for the enemies to attack the fort. In fact the fort remained unconquered during the course of its history. The 37 bastions guard the fort and only two gates are provide to get entrance in the fort. The Suraj Pol or the sun gate is the main entrance of the fort. The Junagarh fort has defied all the attacks except for the brief stint by Kamran who captured the fort, but was unable to retain its victory more than 24 hours. The fort encompasses many places like Chandra mahal, phool mahal. Both are decorated with mirrors. And the karan mahal. The karan mahal was built in remembrance of great victory over Aurangzeb.

Travel agent 4 India(one of the leading travel company in india)

India is a largest domestic country of Asia. The area covered by City Palace is around one seventh of the total area of Jaipur. Though the foundation was laid in 18th century itself, further additions and modifications in the palace complex continued for the next two centuries. On entering the complex and before the complex proper lies Mubarak Mahal, the palace of welcome and reception. It was used a reception centre for the visiting personage. After crossing the first square a beautiful gateway welcomes Diwan-e-Khaas, a hall meant for private audience. It displays two sterling silver vessels and they
Acclaimed to be world’s largest silver vessels. These vessels were made for Madho Singh Ji to carry water of Ganga River on his trip to England. The Maharani Mahal which was meant for royal queens is now converted into a museum, which displays weapons dated back to 15th century. Badal Mahal stands opposite to Chandra Mahal and while crossing the path one would find Govind Dev Ji temple b\w them.

Umaid Bhawan (Jodhpur, Rajasthan) the largest residence in the world

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_1tXSUR6Jxro/SM4Ic6tcuAI/AAAAAAAAAIQ/583L27mfYio/s320/images.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5246139908822448130" />
Umaid bhawan palace located at Jodhpur in Rajasthan is the largest residence in the world. And is in fact the most beautiful tomb in the world.Shahjahan the mughal emperor built this marble glory in the memory of his mistress ‘MUMTAZ MAHAL’, who died in the year 1630.the construction of the monument, started in the year 1613 and took almost 22 years to be complete. Taj Mahal was the result of hard results of twenty thousand workers who worked day and night to complete this project.’Ustad Ahmed Lahori’ was the chief architecture of this project. The dome in the white marble is set against the plain across the river and it is this background that changes the view of this marble structure. The Taj is pinkish in the morning, milky in the evening and golden when the moon shines.
The “SYMBOL OF ETERNAL LOVE”, the Taj Mahal has a life of its own that leaps out of the marble glory.

Nahargarh fort

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_1tXSUR6Jxro/SMiwCTw01_I/AAAAAAAAAIA/qcWhJ1JtCJ0/s320/369977035_d9a147fa6e.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5244635319784232946" />
Nahargarh fort was built by Swai raja jai Singh in the year 1732.The Nahargarh fort served as a military sentinel that guarded the royal kingdom of the royal kingdom of amber. MS Dhoni won his straight 4th toss, which to a certain extent had its role. In the last game one could see flaws in Dhoni's knock which eventually turned out to be a match winning one in hindsight. But today was different. Battling a fever from yesterday and intense fatigue and bouts of head-spin it was a fantastic knock 71 (80) from the outset. Built completely on utter determination to win, there were also finally glimpses of his hard-hitting self. The knock of the match however was Suresh Raina's 76 (78) - look out for some absolutely breathtaking strokes from Raina. Shekhawati is a area and not just a town or fort; it takes its name after its ruler Rao Shekha. Shekhawati means the garden of Shekha.
The towns of Shekhawati are famous for their amazing painted havelis.
